She Uprising exists because of lived experience, courage, and the people who stood beside me when it mattered most.
I would like to acknowledge Cathy Stanbrook, a social worker who supported women and families during moments of deep vulnerability - including myself.
Cathy showed up with integrity, strength, and compassion. She advocated fiercely, documented carefully, and upheld the rights to safety, dignity, and voice for those she supported - often quietly, and without recognition.
The impact of her work continues to ripple forward, not only through the lives she touched, but through the work of She Uprising itself.
This space exists to honour those who protect, support, and stand firm for others when it counts.
